The Great Work
"What is visible reflects what is invisible"
-Zohar
Symbols and symbology is essential to reveal hidden mysteries. Symbols acts as keys to access the mysteries of life and the Divine. A symbol is a representation that conveys a meaning. A mystical symbol reveals while veiling, and veils while reveling. Symbols contain dual aspects of the concrete and abstract, while also creating a possibility of seeing and object as something other that what it truly represents.
“It is what you cannot penetrate, which you strive to figure out.” – Lao Tzu
Symbols are keys to understanding consciousness and how it interacts with the physical world.

In the beginning there was a singularity of potential; infinitesimally small, infinitely hot, infinitely dense. Then BOOM! In an instant it expanded into what we now call the Universe. From infinitely small to infinitely immense, filling all of creation with energy and matter.

“Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.” –The Kybalion.

Metatron’s cube, which contains the platonic solids, is a geometric symbol representing both polarities of Matter and Energy operating within Creation.

The circle within the square, or the circle squared, is symbolic of the combination of matter and energy.

This dual aspect of creation is also symbolized with the Sun representing the Spiritual Creation (+) and Moon representing the Temporal Creation (-).

Matter and Energy under the direction of the Four Creative Forces of Earth, Air, Water and Fire organized Creation.
These Four Creative Forces are symbolized with triangles pointing up and down respectively with bars denoting Earth and Air. Color has also been added to enhance their symbolic meaning.
Matter and Energy under the direction of the Four Creative Forces of Earth, Air, Water and Fire organized Creation and can also be symbolized with the colors of RED (fire), BLUE (water), YELLOW (air) and GREEN (earth) enclosed on the circle squared.

CREATION came about two ways. First a Spiritual Creation and then a Temporal Creation.

Under the Influence of ENERGY (+), Three Principle Essentials were formed from the Four Creative Forces. This was considered the SPIRITUAL CREATION.
First: SULFUR
Second: MERCURY
Third: SALT
The SPIRITUAL CREATION of the Physical Universe (masculine or positive polarity formed the Three Primary Essentials of Sulfur, Mercury and Salt.
Under the Influence of MATTER (-), Three Principle Essentials were formed from the Four Creative Forces. This was considered the TEMPORAL CREATION.
Fourth: METAL (elements)
Fifth: AIR
(oxygen atmosphere)
Sixth: WOOD (carbon)
The TEMPORAL CREATION of the Physical Universe (feminine or negative polarity formed the Three Primary Essentials of Metal (elements), Air (oxygen atmosphere) and Wood (carbon).
The six step formation of the Principle Essentials can also be referred to as the First Six Days of Creation.
DAY 1

sulfur

DAY 2

mercury

DAY 3

salt

DAY 4

metal

DAY 5

air

DAY 6

wood

Geometrically, the six days of creations is represented by the Seed of Life. This includes both the Spiritual (days 1-3) and Temporal (day 4-5) creations.

It can also be represented in the following way to symbolize the Two Polarities of Creation.

A hexagram, the compound of two equilateral triangles, symbolize the Spiritual Creation with an upward pointing triangle, and the Temporal Creation with a downward pointed triangle.

Using the Colors of the Six Principle Essentials (6 days of creation), the following symbol is constructed.

Colors as Symbols
Within our eyes are color receptors that interpret and create the “objective” experience of sight. Humans have three color receptors; Red, Green and Blue.
When the colors of Red, Green and Blue are combined, they create the visible formation of how we see White Light and all other colors.
The same White Light that can be refracted into the seven vibrational bands of the colors and seen as a rainbow.
But we actually don’t see any other color other than that of Red, Green and Blue.

Additive Light involves light emitted directly from a source, before an object reflects the light. This is the masculine polarity or positive expression of energy. The light we receive from the Sun or any other artificial source.
Combining all three primary colors produces white and can only be performed as an energetic function.
The phenomenon of subtractive color creates color by subtracting or absorbing certain wavelengths of light while reflecting other wavelengths back to the viewer. This is the feminine polarity or negative expression of matter. Black absorbs all light and is actually the absence of light.
The primary colors of red, green and blue light produce the secondary colors cyan, magenta, yellow.
The subtractive primaries of cyan, magenta, and yellow are the opposing colors to red, green, and blue.
This can be experienced biologically.
Stare at the white dot in the center of the three red, blue, and green circles for 30 seconds. Then close your eyes.

The three colors of cyan, yellow and magenta will appear float as an after image created from the primary colors above.
It does work both ways.

The Empyrean Symbol
A palimpsest is something having unusually diverse layers or aspects apparent beneath the surface. The Symbol for Empyrean Gemstones is a palimpsest containing a unifying vessel or theory connecting diverse metaphysical philosophies (cosmology, astrology, physical reality, consciousness, causality, numerology, sacred geometry, etc.).
Empyrean’s Symbol is a key to understanding consciousness. Each individual hue of color within the wheel contains many correlations. The placement of a specific color within the wheel places it within context of its conscious correlation.
Working with colored gemstones that hold the frequency of a specific color incorporates the symbology of the symbol in to the actual energetic significance of the light involved in the process.

Human consciousness consists of three aspects. The Physical Body that allows us to interface with the physical universe through our 5 objective senses.
Our Mind/Soul (the entire history of the combined evolution of the brain) that records and associates experiences with feelings to construct emotions.
And, our Spirit, which is the eternal individual consciousness.
All three integrate to allow the Human Experience to take place. It is the mastery of this integration of consciousness that defines or mortal purpose. Human enLIGHTenment.

The familiar symbology of the masculine principle is represented by the Sun and the feminine aspect as the Moon. It is the yin (feminine) and yang (masculine) of all creation.
The Universe was created for the purpose of evolving Consciousness. Consciousness can only be gained through physical experience in the Physical Universe where the polarities of creation enable Spirit perceive ITs-self.
It is REASON that gives meaning to the genesis of Physical Life. A cycle of correspondence that connects and expounds the purpose for the Creator to create.
Thought – Reason – Physical Life
