Alchemy of Color

Alchemical Tretise

Color is everywhere literally beaming through the screens of technology. But did you know that the science of color is based on the biology of sight? This common scientific principle, seldomly understood by most, is what can be used as a great insight into spiritual unfoldment.

In the eternal search to “know thyself,” ancient wisdom teachings understood that words alone had no power to unveil the mysteries of creation.

Symbols were used to illustrate the immense concepts from which the genesis of life became possible and through whose knowledge humanity would be freed.

As vast amounts of time unfolded, the symbols remained but their understanding became obscured within theological doctrines and cultural beliefs.

Currently, these teachings that are embedded throughout reality, go mostly unnoticed and unexplored due to mental laziness. However, they still constitute the very foundations of what we desire to believe – true answers to the purpose of this physical earthly life.

Using modern science and our understanding of color, these ancient teachings have been rejuvenated by coloring the ancient symbols of truth and correlating their principles to colors.

The Alchemy of Color builds on the introduction of the “Color Cypher” in the Science of Gems & Tones of Alchemy. Empyrean Gemstone chose 24 gemstones that represent the Twenty-four attributes. Color Alchemy discusses how each color was created from the Creative Forces and the Creative Elements. This has the potential unlock perceptions and create an explosion of color into your awareness.

Empyrean’s Color Philosophy expands the “Color Cypher” enabling it to jump the boundaries of mystical disciplines. With this new knowledge, correlations can be conducted between teachings to gain a much greater understanding of concepts. The more correlations the greater the gnosis.

Color makes it possible to incorporate this very real experience into a spiritual understanding about the makeup of consciousness and the creation of SOUL.

Red Ruby

Blue Sapphire

Green Emerald

When one thinks of colored gemstones, three jewels come to mind first: red rubies, blue sapphires and green emeralds. They have been favorites for thousands of years, and continue to be admired. Their place of prominence in the colored gemstone world is such that they are sometimes referred to as the Big Three. But maybe there is something more to this “Big Three.”

This is an introduction into a correlation of ancient origins that can literally expand your conscious and how you relate with this physical reality. It is the foundational principle of Empyrean Gemstones’ philosophy – Gemstone Symbolism through Alchemy of Color.

RGB (red, green, blue) Color Symbolism

Because color is what makes gemstones “shine” their way into our consciousness, Empyrean Gemstones introduces Alchemy of Color & the Gemstone Apothecary. This original (but ancient) innovative content asserts a “new” meaning to the color of an actual gemstone.

Through this correspondence, gemstone color relates to the symbology of its energetic purpose. Correlating a color with a spiritual principle creates color symbols. Symbols that can integrate ancient teachings and inspire the rise of intuition into conscious reality.

This colorful spiritual connection is based in numerous ancient traditions that dispute dogma and convenient and serve as foundational information for comprehending all spiritual concepts and teachings.

Empyrean’s goal is centered in achieving a new way to integrate the technology of everyday life into a spiritual awakening through use of Color Symbolism. Our primary symbolic correlation is comprehending the scientific understanding of RGB additive light into a representation of triadic teachings (“SPIRIT, Mind/Soul & Body“) that dominate ancient philosophy and relate to each individual’s personal spiritual creation. A new way of integrating our technology of everyday activities into a spiritual awakening through use of Color Symbolism.

SpiritMind/Soul and Body have a direct correlation with Red, Blue and Green light. The three merging to become White or Enlightenment.

This analogy of light symbolically represents the “Spiritual Creation” of the human consciousness and has a direct reflection in the “Temporal Creation.” This reflection of the spiritual can be experienced in physical world through the biological effect of gazing intently on one of the primary colors. Then, by closing the eyes, the product of this experiment can be seen as an afterimage of Cyan, Yellow and Magenta in the retina of the eye.

Using RGB Color Symbolism it is possible to construct symbols from numerous mystical traditions that can illustrate corresponding patterns that comparatively aligns mystic beliefs in a way that transverses theological borders. Experiencing Color Alchemy in this manner gives growing proof for a prisica theologica or primordial underlying collective theology that unites us all.

Symbolic use of color as a vessel to correlate the different mystical arts adds a new level to understanding to the context of the ancient teachings and how they can be applied in developing one’s Conscious Intelligence.

Light is Illumination, and in this case, literally!

Cipher of Creation

Cipher (or cypher) is a series of well-defined steps that can be followed as a procedure. Ciphers are often referred to as secret or are the secret that unlocks potential hidden information. In our uses, the word cipher in “Cipher of Creation” contains each of those previous operations. It acts as a procedure for gaining access to understanding Self-consciousness [Alchemical Steps of Transmutation]. And, it is the Ancient Secret Teachings (that actually aren’t so secret) that Empyrean wishes to share with others.

Color is everywhere. There has been no other time in history where color is literally beaming through the screens of technology. You already know about the physical reality of light and how it is used in this modern era. Now, incorporate that very real experience into a spiritual understanding about the makeup of your consciousness and the creation of SOUL.

For thousands of generations the question, “What is the purpose of existence?” has permeated the consciousness of Human.

But how can something science cannot even approach be explained?

The answer has been present all along. It is imbedded deeply into every culture, belief system, mythology, theology, religion, and spiritual practice.

It cannot be taught as there is no human language that can speak this “Truth.”

It is a cypher, that when known, gives the Human Mind something to contemplate. By contemplating this secret message, the ineffable (that which is too great or extreme to express in words) unfolds within.

The “Cipher of Creation” blends the symbolism of LIGHT with that of millennia-old philosophical teachings.

“The Principle of Truth are Seven; he who knows these, understandingly, possesses the Magic Key before whose touch all the Doors of the Temple fly open.”  – Kybalion

Alchemy

In Alchemy, the Color Symbolism is correlated with Sulfur, Mercury, and Salt. The combination of the three being related to the Philosopher’s Stone or White Light of perfection. Their counterparts being the three physical components of Metal (Empyrean World/gold), Air (Ethereal World/atmospheric air) and Wood (Elementary World/carbon cycle) that integrate to create the living ecosystem of the planet-Mother Nature. Color Alchemy can be further applied to the seven alchemical processes or steps.

None of these correlations are original, but they can be experienced in a new and modern way of exploring the mystical teaching of bygone eras. To the Mystic, Alchemy of Color becomes a tool in comprehending various traditions and building the immense symbolic gnosis which stimulates consciousness and awakens hidden faculties. The intent of the ancient teachings may have literally been a puzzle that would test the minds of men and awaken the inner truth of each Soul.

Astrology

By means of Alchemy of Color, several modern mystic principles can be correctly interpreted in their original ancient context. For example, the heliocentric verses the geocentric model of the solar system. Some of the modern interpretations did not consider the representation of the solar system to be symbolic. When used in this original context, the symbolism of the planets in their orbits correlates the formulary processes of many spiritual traditions.

Further use of Color Symbolism leads to connecting the Zodiac to the Titan’s, the biblical Tribes of Israel, the Egyptian gods, the Greek Olympians and potentially many others.

Mystical Theology

THE TRINITY (Latin: trinus “threefold”) is concerned with three parts: Singularity of Spirit, Dualistic Soul, and Living Body. Theological doctrine of the Trinity is that God is one God, but three coeternal consubstantial persons or hypostases as “one God in three Divine Persons”:  The Father, The Son Jesus Christ & The Holy Spirit.

The three Persons are distinct, yet are one “substance, essence or nature.” The New Testament possesses a “triadic” understanding of God and contains a number of Trinitarian formulae.

Additive Color Theory is the perfect analogy of this concept. The three colors of Red, Green and Blue combining to become White Light. Three is one, distinct individual colors combining to become one unified manifestation.

Color Symbolism can also give new insights in how the Four Creative Forces (Earth Air, Fire, Water) can be integrated into the Decad of Numerology and the biblical Genesis metaphor.

Human Trifecta

Color

Through a correlation of the three primary colors (RGB), great insight can be found in exploring one’s own individual Spiritual Creation. Through pondering each spiritual creative element, one can separate their distinct-fullness into a unique understanding that could never be utter by word or documented by wrote. Each creative element becomes enlivened through their individual perfection. This is the origin of the saying “Work, Study, & Pray.

sulfur

The spiritual spark of existence; the eternal essences that is one with Divine but separate and distinguishable in IT’s awareness. The true “I AM” that supersedes all subsequent or lower creations.

mercury

The governing Intelligence of all the physical matter operating within the material manifestation of the human form. The mind-awareness of the collective experiences and learnings of the current incarnation. The development and expression of emotions that arise through interactions within the material universe. The willpower or inner awareness of the conscience.

salt

The spiritual creative blueprint of the material manifestation of the human form. The spiritual interface of “reality” with the Physical Universe. The pattern and order that directs the biological mechanisms and functions. The  randomness of the recombination of DNA.The Earth and all the building blocks of Life.

Kabbalah

Kabbalah, a Judeo-Christian Esoterism/Mysticism, is concerned with the 10 Spheres of Creation that is illustrated within the diagram known as “The Tree of Life.”. The Right Side of the tree symbolizes the Spiritual Creation, masculine and positive aspect. The Left Side symbolizes the Temporal Creation, feminine, and negative aspect. The Center column symbolizes the marriage and union of Spiritual/Temporal Creations and ascension back towards the creator.

The “Tree of Life” actually consists of three interlace individual diagrams. (1) “The Tree of the Sephiroth.” (2) The “The Tree of Life.” (3) The “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Through Color Correspondence, a distinction can be illustrated and the full meaning can become more assessable to understanding.

Using the Kabbalist “Sepher Yetzirah” and Color Symbolism, a cipher can be explored in placing the letters of the Hebrew alphabet on the Seraphic Tree of Life in a way that harmonizes all the extrapolations that occur thereafter. This then has a significant effect on the interpreting the tarot cards and how it affects the 22 Paths of Life.

Ancient Philosophy

Hermeticism, a religious, philosophical, and esoteric tradition based primarily upon writings attributed to Hermes Trismegistus (“thrice-greatest Hermes”), has greatly influenced Western esoteric tradition and was considered to be of great importance during both the Renaissance and the Reformation. Traditions traces its origin to a prisca theologia, a doctrine that affirms the existence of a single, true theology that is present in all religions and that was given by God to man in antiquity.

The Emerald Tablet or Tabula Smaragdina is a compact and cryptic piece of the Hermetica reputed to contain the secret of the prima materia and its transmutation. It was highly regarded by European alchemists as the foundation of their art and its Hermetic tradition. Although the original source of the Emerald Tablet is unknown, Hermes Trismegistus (a.k.a. Egyptian god Thoth) is the author named in the text. The first known appearance is in a book written in Arabic between the sixth and eighth centuries. The text was first translated into Latin in the twelfth century.

Through Color Symbolism the Seven Hermetic Principle can be assigned colors that can greatly enhance their meaning and correlations to other mystical traditions.

Sacred Geometry

Sacred geometry ascribes symbolic and sacred meanings to certain geometric shapes and certain geometric proportions. It is associated with the belief that a god is the geometer of the world or the belief that a god created the universe according to a geometric plan has ancient origins. The geometric progression can be correlated to the steps (days) in the Genesis of the physical world. That geometry is then elaborated into further repetitions giving rise to the completed decad of numerology.

Color Correlations can extend greater meaning to the DECAD and the profound meaning of numerology.

Tarot

Using the Kabbalist “Sepher Yetzirah” and Color Symbolism, a color cipher can be explored in placing the letters of the Hebrew alphabet on the Seraphic Tree of Life in a way that harmonizes all the extrapolations that occur thereafter. This then has a significant effect on the interpreting the tarot cards and how it affects the 22 Paths of Life.

Temperament

Color Symbolism also add new insight to the four temperaments of sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic. These “humors,” and more contemporary renditions influenced by Carl Jung, can be incorporated into a larger world view of interrelating with others. Color Symbolism builds a correlation within the tarot and temperaments.
