Creative Element of Wood

Carbon Cycle

The Creative Forces of Water and Fire acted upon the first matter and energy to form Wood (carbon). Wood is symbolized with a solid circle that continuously expands in circumference.

The secondary color of Magenta has its own mystery and intrigue. Simply because, there is no such color in the rainbow spectrum of light. In fact, there is not even a vibrational frequency of energy in physics that explains Magenta. Not even such thing as magenta photons.

Light vibrations begin with red and move through all the colors of green to conclude at blue in the visible spectrum of light. It is the human brain that completes the circle connecting red to blue. As we move around the color wheel from blue to red, all of the hues of purples and pinks are concepts that exist outside the physic of this physical world. That is why Magenta is associated with growth in wisdom, karma, morality, and the expansion of consciousness. It is the relating of subtle and mystical concepts that inherently needed to be explored and understood from within oneself. The journey to magenta and back represents the mystical and secret teaching that guide human awareness back to its Devine origins.

But the correlations don’t stop there. The physical vibration of red light interacts with blue in the chlorophyll of plants energetically driving photosynthesis and the production of oxygen in the cells of all living plants. We see plants as green because all the red and blue wavelengths of light have been absorbed and green is the only light wave that reach our eyes. In that process of photosynthesis, plants harvest carbon dioxide produced by animals to created tissue (Wood) by stripping oxygen form the Carbon. Water and Light (which is also fire) are needed for this process to occur. So, it is appropriate that the alchemical symbol for Carbon is a solid filled in circle- the filling in of the circle or solidification of the noble gasses that fill the atmospheric blanket of this world. The gradual growth of all plants to maintain the balance of carbon and oxygen in the world.

If humanity continues to grow out of control and unbalancing the carbon cycle, a tipping point will eventually be reached when the combined plants of our planet will not be able to replenish the air we breathe and the gradual extinction of the Human race will begin.

With these correlations, Magenta can symbolize attributes of Service: strength and flexibility, with qualities of warmth, generosity, co-operation and idealism. Wood is expansive, constantly seeking ways to grow and expand.

Wood heralds the beginning of life, springtime buds, sensuality and fruitfulness. Wood needs moisture to thrive (Water/Blue) and light (Fire/Red) to grow. It is associated with, positive feelings of optimism, patience, and altruism.

A prosopopoeia is an avatar that speaks on behalf of the Creative Elements as they are represented in the mineral kingdom. Regardless of all explanations and mystical qualities that a stone may exhibit, the Law of Suggestion best explains their energetic properties; a simple seed planted within the subconscious.

Any repeating pattern of behavior can be defined as a ritual. These procedural routines developed by an individual in regards to a stone, carry with them a message developed through subjective experiences and education. The act of consciously using a stone in acknowledgment of those memories and lessons contribute to an inward unfoldment of consciousness.

For the Creative Element of Wood, Empyrean Gemstones chose Petrified Wood. Use this stone when desiring to integrate the Creative Forces of Fire and Water into your alchemical transmutation.
