Creative Element of Salt

Salt is formed from the Creative Forces of Earth and Water and is the vehicle of matter; the physical body. It is a passive medium that forms a matrix. Chemically, Salt forms into cubic crystals when chloride ions are arranged in a cubic array whereas the smaller sodium ions fill all the cubic gaps.

It is probably no coincidence that when Plato wrote about the platonic solid of the cube in the dialogue Timaeus c.360 B.C., he associated Earth with the cube.

Earth is the Mother of all material things: minerals, metals, plants, animals and is called the Great Treasurer. It is stability, rest, inertia, strength, solidity. It is the means for all material creations to attain eternal life through evolution and the experience of imperfection by providing knowledge of that which is still lacking for completion.

Salt has enormous symbology. Jesus stated in Matthew 5:13,

“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt hath lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”

It is only through the symbolism of Salt that this concept can be understood. And that concept is in relation with our physical body that can only be created out of EARTH and savored by Water or Soul.

The concept of earth resonates with the denser aspects of our physical lives – substances, shelter, and survival. Salt is about our physical connection to the world, experiencing our physical body through the five senses, the act of touching being just one. It denotes physical work and actions needed to survive, and the processes of the physical acts we perform to obtain the resources we need to exist. Exploring and studying stimulates our need to ever improve and understand the material world and experience the ordinary miracles that fill this creation.

A prosopopoeia is an avatar that speaks on behalf of the Creative Elements as they are represented in the mineral kingdom. Regardless of all explanations and mystical qualities that a stone may exhibit, the Law of Suggestion best explains their energetic properties; a simple seed planted within the subconscious.

Any repeating pattern of behavior can be defined as a ritual. These procedural routines developed by an individual in regards to a stone, carry with them a message developed through subjective experiences and education. The act of consciously using a stone in acknowledgment of those memories and lessons contribute to an inward unfoldment of consciousness.
